Feb 1, 2007 – The TARGETRAINING Women’s Professional Cycling Team will ride CycleOps PowerTap’s new 2.4 Wireless wheels and use PowerAgent 7 software for the 2007 season. Levi Olsen, CycleOps’ East Coast Regional Manager, states: “We are excited to equip the TARGETRAINING’s women’s team with the PowerTap SL 2.4. It combines heart rate, cycling computer and power functionality, does so wirelessly and uses our lightest weight hub. Our focus is developmental and the TARGETRAINING women’s program is a perfect fit.”
The women race all over the country, but are also involved in the endurance training and coaching business at TARGETRAINING’s Westport, CT home. Under the guidance of TARGETRAINING Cycling Director Eneas Freyre, the women help out in indoor cycling classes and group rides, working with aspiring female cyclists and tri-athletes.

TARGETRAINING will run a series of power clinics using Powertap technology in Spring 2007 to help cyclists and tri-athletes become familiar with the benefits of training with power. This will include a clinic for junior athletes, a few clinics devoted to women, and clinics open to all ages and genders. The exact dates will be announced shortly; online registration will be available. TARGETRAINING CEO Rick Spear says: “TARGETRAINING teaming with Powertap is good all around: clients get fitter, our team will be better prepared, and Powertap technology will become familiar to clients who span the spectrum from every-day life fitness to aspiring competitor."
