Jordan Rapp is TARGETRAINING's Head of Multi-Sport Coaching.
He resides in Westchester, NY and spends time training in Flagstaff, AZ and Victoria, BC. Jordan is a serious student of triathlon as well as sport in general, and he uses his mechanical and aerospace engineering degree from Princeton University to optimize the technological aspects of racing for both his clients and himself. He acts as the overall guru and supervisor for our Westport, CT-based training program as well as works with multisport clients outside the area.
In 2006, after three seasons of age-group racing built off a collegiate career as a division 1 lightweight rower, Jordan turned professional as a triathlete with a focus on the half-iron/70.3 distance. In 2006, he broke an hour while winning at the Niantic Sprint for the third straight year, placed 1st at ITPMan, 5th at the Timberman 70.3, and 6th in the Florida 70.3 with a blistering 2:08 on the bike that was the fastest split of the day. At Vineman 70.3 he turned in the second fastest bike split in a stacked field en route to an 8th place overall finished. And at the Clearwater 70.3 World Champs, he again turned in the second fastest bike split of the day (2:05:15) on his way to a top-20 finish among the pro field. For 2007, his focus is again on the Ironman 70.3 series.
In 2006, his clients had numerous age group podium finishes, and two qualified for the 70.3 World Championships in the women's 18-24 and 30-34 age groups. He currently coaches athletes for all disciplines, from a first timer focusing on Sprint to XTerra to an Ironman focused on getting to Kona.

Mitch "Diesel" West
At 36 years old, Mitch West is a relative newcomer to the sport of triathlon. While he grew up playing basketball and being active, he could not imagine running "just for the fun of it." His first race was the Greenwich Tri on a mountain bike and since then he has been hooked. Mitch really enjoys the mix of camaraderie and competition that the sport of triathlon has to offer. He now enjoys balancing the "triathlon lifestyle" with his wife of eleven years and two children. He works as an elementary school social worker in Stamford, CT where he makes every attempt possible to share with kids the importance of being active. Mitch began "serious" training (actually writing it down) in 2005 and has enjoyed success at the Sprint and Olympic distances. In 2006, he qualified for the Escape from Alcatraz triathlon by winning his age group and placing 6th overall. Also in 2006, he completed his first "ultra" distance event, winning his age group at the American Zofingen duathlon. Mitch was honored in 2006 as an age-group "all-american" for his racing efforts. For 2007, key races include Escape from Alcatraz, New York City, and Timberman. His goals include getting faster each year while getting maximum enjoyment and meeting many great people. He is crazy-psyched to be a member of the Targetraining Tri Team!

Richard Izzo is a Board Certified Sports Chiropractor with a practice in Rye Brook NY. This year marks Rich's 18th season, with over 120 triathlons, 11 open marathons and 8 Ironman's completed. Last year was a watershed year with 3 age group wins in the 40-44 AG, including the Gold Coast tri, and The Firman 1/2 IM (9th overall and 1st 40-44 and 10th overall). Rich's last three IM races include a 10:58 IMLP, a 10:31 IMFLa, and a 10:16 IMFla in 06. Since running has always been a chore, and not part of Rich's backround a 1:26 Westchester 1/2 marathon 18th overall/700 result and an 18:50 5k were major accomplishments for 2006.
Another major event for 2006 was fininishing La Marmotte- "the toughest one day bike race in the world" which included 18,000ft of climbing in 109m-and 4 climbs of the Tour de France with Galibier and Alp Du Huez. This coming year Rich hopes to compete in all the local races, with an IM at the end of the year and do the Deathride in Lake Tahoe in July.
But no matter what happens this year just being able to tow the line happy, healthy, and with friends makes the triathlon lifestyle the ultimate experience and worth all the miles on the road, and yards in the pool!

Frances Gray
Fran, 34, has been competing in Triathlons for the past four years.  A former college swimmer, she was introduced to the sport through a group of triathletes she met at the local YMCA.  After getting over the sticker shock of the costs of bicycles she finally gave in and purchased her 1st bike since she was 15.  While preferring the Olympic Distance she has competed in numerous events from Sprint Triathlons to the Half-Ironman.  Fran has been a consistent top age group finisher and routinely turns in top 10 overall female finishes, including a 3rd place performance at the 2005 Greenwich Triathlon.  For the upcoming season she plans on concentrating on her running and biking in hopes of improving her overall standings.  To Fran the best thing about triathlons is the individuals you meet and the friendly competition that it involves.  In 2007 she will be participating in a number of Olympic Distance races throughout the tri-state region as well as Timberman 70.3.
Fran is the controller for Berkshire Hathaway Reinsurance Group and resides in Southport, CT.
