Zipp Speed Weaponry.  The name is so perfect, you have to wonder how the wheels could be anything but. While we could gush endlessly, we've also ridden these puppies when they would crack apart in a hard criterium.  However, Zipp has improved, improved, and improved their product some more (i.e., they are a lot stronger -- the wheels don't crack very easily).  Zipp is a fantastically innovative and engineering focused company who only wishes to be the best.  All Zipp's rims are made using a bladder that helps mold their rims in the shape of an airplane's wing. To cheat wind further, Zipp came up with wheel dimples, much as you see on golf balls (we will not debate fluid dynamics vs. marketing here). While being engineers, Zipp heavily invests in the sport, sponsoring teams and racers.   It may not always answer every question, but it is out there testing the heck out of its product. We like the company, it does its best to be a winner, and it is good to the cycling and triathlete community at large as well. Yes, they are a tad bit expensive (only via sponsorship are they affordable to the struggling bicycle racer).  Owning Zipp wheels requires a commitment to excellence. Their wheels are, well, joyful to ride. WE ARE OFFICIAL ZIPP DEMO DEALERS AND WE GOT 808's...stealth...
